More Fashion Advice for Pear Shaped Bodies

The most important reminder for women with heavy bottoms is that they draw attention away from their wide hips. Avoid wearing baggy shirts because they would make you look large. Tight tops, on the other hand, shows bulges and would make you look out of proportion the moment the eyes dart down to your hips. Choose fitted shirts with stretchable fabric. They go together with your curves. Button-front blouses, V-neck t-shirts, turtleneck tops, are also perfect for you since they call attention to the face.

Empire-cut dresses look good on you because they hide problem areas. The only drawback is that they’d look like a maternity blouse if you’ve got a fuller body. Dresses that are slim at the waist then flare out over hips are also a nice bet. A full-skirted ballgown would also hide your hips and thighs. If you’re wearing jackets, make sure the hem wouldn’t fall on the widest point of your hips.
