Fall is the time to take out those flashy and trendy tights off the closet. Have you ever
watched Gossip girl? I suggest you tune in to catch a glimpse of those amazing leg warmers
that the lady casts struts around with in wealthy upper east side Manhattan. It is also the
season for everything knitted, we suggest you invest in colors that are bold as the time of
neutral hues has passed. In case you have not noticed, loud and vulgar colors like violet,
red and fuchsia are once again storming boutiques like a plague. From sweaters to hats,
there are so much to choose from. Pf and did we mention scarves? It is the in thing for the
cold months. Take the ones with varied striped colors to add flare to an otherwise boring
outfit. Scarves made of lace and silk are also part of the must-haves this season.

A brand new season and everyone is in the panic mode of what to buy this fall. Juggling schedules with work, family and friends are not easy. An attire to wear when meeting them worsens the situation.
For this fall it is all about layers. When we shop there is a trick to keep your look slim and polished. Look for lean silhouettes such as cigarette pants, a pair of second-skin jeans or a pair of leggings worn with a slim or softly pleated skirt and lightweight fabrics. A few interesting textures such as knits, tweeds and lace in related colors like grey or shades of brown. Top it with a sweater or two over a blouse then put on a jacket or cape for style.

Everything seems to be expensive nowadays. But you don’t have to spend too much to be “In” this fall and winter season. Dresses are a fad this year so in purchasing for this cold season the features of classy and a bit sexy should be taken inconsideration. As always the Colour of choice is grey and black. We can look inside our closet with clothes that defy the decades and innovate with a few items to buy: A thick belt, a cashmere shawl, pumps, leggings type stockings, tote bag and a diamond stud if you don’t have it yet. We can accessorize with elegance and simplicity. A black trench coat you used last year can be edgier with a thick belted swing that emphasizes the waist; a curvy dress with dark stockings can make your look more stylish, turtle necks with diamond studs can do wonders, cashmere shawl with your tailored jacket and wide legged pants can add flavour to it common office attire, pumps and tote bag with your little black dress will make you look fashionable than ever.

Style 1: The Belle Curves Style-
The trend for this season emphasizes the beauty and ‘belle curves’ of a woman’s waist. The style is reflected on 1940’s style jackets, skirts and dresses which has stylish silhouettes.
Style 2: The Country Life Style
Have a taste of life in the country…
Yee-haw! This season, designers have gone ga-ga over fashions trends influenced by the life in the country. From Badgley Mischka to Dolce Gabbana -the trends showcase checks, tweeds, velvet, shearling, fur and plaids.
Style 3: The Long View Style
Designers definitely did not take a ’shortcut’ this season. What’s hot are mid-calf to floor grazing clothes. You can even get away with not shaving your legs! Lol…
Style 4: The Minimalist Tendency
Less is more.
This style philosophy has been around for ages - but only a few have remained faithful to the maxim. This fall, however, even the usually extravagant designers employed simpler lines and more structured pieces.
For the fall-winter collection of 2008, choose basic black dresses, pared-down pants, tailored suits and stark, architectural tops.

Flip flops, also referred to as zories, thongs, flaps, slaps, and beachwalkers, are the first pairs of shoes for millions of Third World consumers. In the developing nations, where flip flops are sold for less than $1, these shoes are more like standard footwear than a fashion statement. Many efforts are made to keep their cost low, such as making them out of recycled tires. For someone who has previously been without shoes, their first pair of flip flops can indicate some upward mobility. And in time they may signify a step toward an eventual pair of closed-toed shoes.
The basic design of the flip flop is about as classic as it gets. There’s even an Egyptian hieroglyph for the sandals ancestral to today’s flip flop–consisting of a long oval with an inverted V shape. Even King Tutankhamen’s tomb bears the original “flip flop” design.

Everyone knows that the swimsuit portion of the contest is not about being the most curvaceous. No spilling overs please. It’s all about making the most of what you’ve got and staying classy, even if you’re not 100 percent confident about certain areas of your body. This summer, leave your two-piece behind because the one-piece is back. Cover as much as you like and your swimsuit will still flatter. The Miraclesuit promises to make you “10 lbs lighter in 10 seconds” with their Shape Solutions for problem areas: waist, hips, bust. Choose from maillot, wrap, bandeau or swimdress in the proprietary Miratex fabric for maximum control. Check out cyberswim.com for more.

Top-to-toe black is sexy and elegant but could be drab if worn everyday. There are various ways to create that slimming and elongating effect to your body. When looking for an outfit, go for the monochromatic scheme. Check the color wheel for the color families. It’s easier to mix and matchif you know the hues that belong together. To prevent you from having a drab outfit, add contrast or texture by wearing a blazer or a cardigan. Leave it open to create vertical lines.
Skip wearing huge accessories like large-hooped earrings and big belts. The bulkier the accents, the smaller you’d look. Big belts cut you half visually. Keep the accessories to a minimum. However, you can wear long necklaces instead of chokers. The former creates an elongating effect. Longer and dark-colored skirts are a good choice than wider ones. For your shoes, choose those with heels. I prefer pointed heels than wedges. I suggest you wear shoes an inch tall. Stilletos are more elegant to look at than chunky heels.

The most important reminder for women with heavy bottoms is that they draw attention away from their wide hips. Avoid wearing baggy shirts because they would make you look large. Tight tops, on the other hand, shows bulges and would make you look out of proportion the moment the eyes dart down to your hips. Choose fitted shirts with stretchable fabric. They go together with your curves. Button-front blouses, V-neck t-shirts, turtleneck tops, are also perfect for you since they call attention to the face.
Empire-cut dresses look good on you because they hide problem areas. The only drawback is that they’d look like a maternity blouse if you’ve got a fuller body. Dresses that are slim at the waist then flare out over hips are also a nice bet. A full-skirted ballgown would also hide your hips and thighs. If you’re wearing jackets, make sure the hem wouldn’t fall on the widest point of your hips.

For those people who are forever scouting for the perfect dress that would match your body type, worry no more because we’ve got the quick solutions for you. You don’t have to employ a personal stylist. You just have to determine your body type. The shirts should accentuate your assets, and not hide them. Neverthless, they should hide whatever needs to be hidden. The best way to whip up a fab outfit is to look for shirts that would emphasize your good points.
If you’ve got a pear-shaped bod, that is, your hips are wider than your shoulders, then it’s better if you’d wear A-line skirts. They draw attention away from your waist, but show the curves in the right places. Avoid wearing minis because they show off round thighs. Straight-cuts, flares, and skinny jeans work best for you. Never wear cargo pants! Those compartments and zippers add bulk to your hips. Wear dark-colored pants to create a slimming effect on your thighs.

Some trendsetters do the blunder of mismatching tops and bottoms. The number 1 fashion mishap is wearing apparels with different prints at once. Stick to one style. you don’t wanna see yourself wearing a striped blouse topped with a floral cardigan. Doesn’t look quite fit together, right? If you go for stripes, pair it with a solid-colored jacket or cardigan, and pants. I’d skip animal prints, if I were you. I really don’t know, but there’s something about that trend that freaks me out. I don’t wanna look like a leopard or something.
When wearing short skirts, make sure you leave something for the imagination. Three inches above the knee is sexy already. People need not see your intimate apparels, ladies! The same goes with super long dresses with above the knee slits. Long skirts are supposed to cover you up. Don’t play peek-a-boo with spectators.
